Meet the Hope Staff

Rev. L. Todd Marlow
Lead Pastor/Teacher
Pastor Todd came to HOPE Community Church (formerly Westmoreland Baptist Church) April 2005 and has served as Lead Pastor/Teacher for these last (19+) nineteen years.
Pastor Todd and his wife Lisa have been married for 36+ years and have three wonderful adult children, Kaitlyn 31, Kameron 29, Karigan 26, all now out of the home developing their families. They also have three grandsons (Hudson, Riley, and Rhett) who are the apple of PawPaw’s & G’Ma’s eyes!
Mrs. Lisa is a Registered Nurse at Caromont Regional Medical Center Gastonia, working with the critical care patients, and with the ICU patients. She enjoys working outside with her flowers during her off time, taking plants that are on their last leg, and bring them to new life! She also enjoys camping (‘glamping’) with Pastor in their camper as they take some needed vacation time.
Pastor has traveled extensively internationally, many mission trips leading Pastor Conferences, in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, and Africa. Additionally, Hope has historically developed a partnership with a mission in Mozambique and Uganda, Africa, where he has lead (6) six seperate summer mission trips. He’s a Pastor’s Pastor, working both locally and internationally to help support, love, encourage, and sharpen other Pastors.
The things Pastor Todd loves most about HOPE Community Church is his opportunity to build relationships, sharing HOPE in times of crisis and leading people to faith in Christ! It is truly a place where “Christ in you, is the HOPE of glory!” Colossians 1:27b

Randy Hart
Worship Leader
Hello, I am Randy Hart and I have been blessed with the incredible privilege of serving as Worship Director here at Hope Church of Metrolina. My journey in this role has been filled with awe, gratitude and a deep sense of purpose. Growing up in Kannapolis, NC. I was taught to play guitar at a young age by my grandfather. Later in my teenage years I had the privilege of playing guitar in a youth band and eventually leading worship in church services and in a Christian band. I have a desire to simply to lead others in the worship of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Being able to see others worship and develop a relationship with the living God is one of my greatest joys.
I am also privileged to mentor and teach young people how to lead worship and understand what worship really is with the goal that they will become worship leaders in the future. Worship is not about us. All our focus in worship should be on the one true living God. I have had the privilege of witnessing countless moments of transformation during worship where people find healing and a deeper connection in their relationship with our heavenly father. It is a humbling experience and I often find myself in awe of the beauty of those moments. I’m constantly learning and seeking to grow in my relationship with God and striving to be a better servant.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and I’m looking forward to seeing what God has planed for Hope Church. He is forever my God, Father, Savior Lord and King.
